Mr. Seyid began his legal career after obtaining his law degree (LLB) from the University of Aleppo Faculty of Law in 1994. From 1996 to 2012, he worked as a human rights attorney specializing in civil and criminal court representation, with a particular focus on providing pro bono legal defense for detained individuals.

Following the onset of the Syrian crisis, Mr. Seyid pivoted his legal expertise toward humanitarian leadership and human rights documentation, establishing himself as a pivotal figure in several key organizations addressing critical humanitarian needs.

UOSSM (Union of Medical Care and Relief) is a Syrian NGO founded in 2012 in France, supported by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and OCHA. It works to increase the effectiveness of humanitarian response in areas of crisis, providing medical aid and support to affected people and communities, regardless of nationality, ethnicity, gender, religion, or political affiliation. It is one of the largest NGOs operating in Syria, Turkey, and Lebanon with multiple mental health and physiotherapy centers.

LDHR is a Syrian NGO which emerged from a 4-year training and capacity building program supported by the UK FCO (PSVI) and run by Physicians for Human Rights (PHR). Mr. Seyid was initially a trainee in the first set of documentation training, then became a mentor, legal advisor, and trainer. He was instrumental in establishing this organization, which focuses on medical documentation of torture and sexual violence.

The Local Council of Idleb City was established in 2012, supported by Democracy Council (DC), and was the first elected local council in Syria. It included 25 members (five of whom were women) and worked to provide services for people inside Syria, specifically in Idleb City, with special attention to widows and detainees' wives.
